The STEM Summit provides professional learning opportunities for teachers and educational staff members in the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics taught by experts and specialists in their fields.

Registration is now open in pdEnroller and here in SCHED. Sessions are being added daily until the summit starts in August.

Wondering how to fit in that extra practice and provide ongoing support? Routines and games not only provide extensive practice and support, they utilize effective learning strategies (like think-aloud!) and they are much more enjoyable. In this session, we explore ways to use routines and games to ensure students learn strategies and procedures and also to help students learn to choose strategies. We will share instructional activities, routines, and games that target fractions and decimals and encourage work with all components of fluency: efficiency, flexibility, appropriateness, and accuracy.
